Jupiter
Jupiter is the largest planet in the Solar System. It is very bright and is often visible in the night sky. The only planet which is brighter is Venus. Even so, Jupiter can be seen more clearly which is why it was considered to be the king among stars. There is a large red spot visible on the planet's surface.
According to different studies, this is a storm which has been taking place on the planet for over 200 years.

The Solar System consists of 8 planets - while four are made of rock, the rest are gaseous in nature. Jupiter comes in the second category and a large amount of gas, mostly helium and hydrogen, can be found in its atmosphere. While the exterior of this Solar System planet is made of gas, the core is rocky and is similar to

the Earth's core in terms of composition. The core is in molten form and because of its location, the temperature of Jupiter does not allow it to solidify and cool down.

If you were to travel towards the core of the planet, you would find that the gaseous atmosphere is taking a liquid form. Therefore, this Solar System planet turns to liquid as the density of the gases increase.

Jupiter has 63 moons and scientists say that more could be found in future. The orbital period of the planet is 4,331.572 days or 11,86 years.
