Earth
Earth is the only planet in the Solar System which has life on it. It is the third planet from the Sun and due to the neutrality in terms of temperature, weather and atmosphere, human life evolved over a number of years. The ozone layer
was formed, keeping the harmful UV rays away and hence, allowing the persistence of human life.

Among the Solar System planets, it is the third largest and among the terrestrial planets, it is the largest one. It is often referred to as the Blue Planet or Terra. A large part of the surface of the Earth is covered with water and the rest - with islands and continents. Earth consists of a
mantle, an outer core which is in liquid form and has

magnetic properties and an inner core which is solid and made of iron.

Earth comes in contact with other objects in space and it takes 365 days to complete an orbit. The Moon, referred to as The Luna, is the sole natural satellite of Earth and causes tides in the oceans and stabilizes the rotation of our Solar System planet. In addition to the Moon, other satellites, artificial in nature, orbit the planet as well.

Initially, Earth was considered to be flat but over the years and after several experiments, it was proven to be round.
